Product Design Lead | Rehab (agency)
A multi-award winning e-learning experience designed to help SMEs improve their digital skills.

BACKGROUND.
The Digital Garage was built to offer free digital training for SMEs wanting to grow their businesses online. Google enlisted Rehab studio to craft the digital version, and I was brought on board to design the experience. Working closely with the Google team and a number of suppliers, I helped bring everything together and created an award-winning learning platform that delighted users for years.

MEET THE EVERYDAY EXPERTS.
Google worked with local businesses to find interesting case studies; these “everyday experts” heavily influenced the design direction of the experience. Simple, helpful, and characterful — appearing across landing pages, diagnostics, topics and courses.
Character illustration
To bring the personas to life beyond their real life counterparts. I created a small suite of illustrations used for launch.
Exploring topics
User diagnostic determines the topics making up the learning plan.
The Topic library listing page, featuring all possible topic available.
Core lessons are made up of custom created video content, with an end of topic test.
COURSE PROGRESSION.
As the user progresses through their tailored learning plan, progress is tracked, milestones celebrated, and completion rewarded. Completing all topics assigned during the diagnostic, and passing a final test culminated in unlocking a Google certificate.
Progress within topics
As topic was broken up into several chunks to help users digest the lesson content.
