I led the design of an award-winning app and booking platform for a new kind of stay, blending the best of luxury hotels, members' clubs, and long-term residences.

Inside each house, was a suite of high-end connected spaces, containing fitness, wellness, drinking/dining facilities.

Role

Product Design Lead

Partnering with DesignStudio, I was brought on for an intensive eight months to take the project from a blank page to a finished product.

My role was to translate the disruptive luxury concept into a frictionless digital product that empowers guest autonomy while maintaining the brand's premium aesthetic.

I architecting a unified mobile and web platform that blurs the boundaries between luxury hotels, private clubs, and high-end residences.

I helped DesignStudio establish a best-in-class guest app experience. Initially leading the UX phases, later helping the Design Director bring the branding to life throughout the app.

Working on the app from concept through to delivery, I led early client workshops, leading to a UX phase, going on to help define the design, finishing in developer handoff.

After wrapping on the app, I moved on to lead the website UX and Design phases for the brand brochure and booking site.

Understanding the guest experience

To help us give guests total autonomy over their environments I led client workshops and mapped out the entire journey to create an Experience Blueprint. This wasn't just about screens; it was about how the app would feel in a guest's hand from the moment they booked until they checked out.

Our blueprint highlighted opportunities to improve both digital and physical interactions with spaces and services in and around the building.

Working closely with CEO and TOH team, we created a journey map to help understand the user needs and jobs to be done at various points in time for our three core user types.

Using this to inform the wireframe phase and identify areas where we leaned-in to the brand to create loveable interaction moments.
Making users Feel at Home, we focused heavily on the app experience when a user is in a private vs member spaces.
Key screens for HOME area of the app reflect
what the user should most be interested in at that point in time.
Features include:

Mobile key access
View what’s happening around the House
Book a table
Order food and drinks around the House
Arrange dry cleaning
Find out how busy the pool and gym are
Book a meeting space or private dining room
Explore the local area

Bringing the brand to life across the app experience.

I took DesignStudio’s beautiful brand identity and built it into a functional interface.

My goal was to make sure every tap and swipe felt premium, intuitive, and intentional.

The foundation for the experience was to make users feel at home, we infused this across the app, being very intentional with the design, when to express the brand, and when to pair back.

I worked with Design Studio brand team, to help realise the brand across all screens and flows, supporting the Design Director, Jordan. Together we tirelessly finessed every detail of the experience, making sure it felt, just right.

Brochure website & booking

Brochure website
& booking

After wrapping up on the app, we won the pitch for the booking website, allowing us to continue to express the branding in the browser.

I led the UX & Design, across the brochure and booking experience working alongside hospitality experts, UMI Digital .

Initially launching with one house, but with plans for a second location already in progress, the main challenge was to create a scalable solution that maintained the simplicity of the app.

I lead the design and experience across web, translating The Other House’s unique hospitality concept & brand across the brochure and booking process.

The final result was a custom Wordpress build created in collaboration with hospitality experts UMI Digital.

This was a dream project to work on, it combined my love of sustainability and design. The folks at DS were an incredibly talented team, built a wonderfully trusting environment for collaborating with the client.

The Other House is going from strength to strength with it's second location opening in Covent Garden in 2026.
